Young people today need to be grounded in the important truths of God’s
Word, that is the goal here. Our Youth Group is not filled with games and fluff.
It is serious Bible Study geared for teens who live in the real world of
challenges to their faith and the way they want to live for Jesus Christ.
Learning what the Bibles says is just the beginning. It’s about
understanding the important doctrines of the Faith, how defend the Faith and
how to share YOUR Faith with others who will not always agree. It’s about
living what you believe in the world and knowing when it is all said and done
that, by the grace of God, you did it well.
If you are ready to be challenged to grow in your faith and be active in the
Kingdom of Jesus Christ it’s time to get GROUNDED!
Our current study is a study of the
Book of Proverbs.
How much has changed in the
3,000 years since King Solomon
wrote to instruct the people of God in
wisdom?
Everything and yet, nothing at all.
Sure, the times have changed, but
really, people and relationships and
all of the imortant aspects of life remain the same.
In the book of Proverbs we learn about who we are on the inside,
beneath our style and our tastes where the “real” us lives. It is here
that we are called to make important decisions and those will
determine a lot about who we will become. Wisdom, not just
knowledge, is the key to making right decisions and to living our lives
to the Glory of God. In relationships, moral purity, handling finances,
telling the truth, who we hang out with and many other areas, the
Book of Proverbs speaks directly and with wisdom to every human
heart and mind.
Come out and join us every Sunday Night at 6:00 for worship, prayer
and serious Bible study. Monthly activities are also being planned for
building fellowship in a community of young people who are serious
about living out their faith in the world!
